PIERCINGS

What sets us apart from other piercing shops?

A lot of different things! We are not a $20 walk-in piercing shop for a reason. We will never sacrifice quality and cleanliness to provide a cheap, dirty experience.

Jewelry:

We only use the highest quality of implant grade jewelry that has a mirror polish, free of any nicks or scratches, and is internally threaded or threadless.

We carry some of the most reputable jewelry companies in the body piercing industry! All are compliant and to the standards of the Association of Professional Piercers. This helps reduce risk of allergies to poor metals that contain nickel, keeps bacteria from accumulating & your skin from turning green, and reduces trauma to the piercing channel.

All of our solid 14kt or 18kt gold has a manufacturer warranty!

Cleanliness:

We have a Statim G4 2000 autoclave in the piercing room that allows us to sterilize all jewelry, needles, piercing instruments, gauze and tools in 7 minutes.

This greatly reduces the risk of infection.

We are blood-borne pathogens certified, trained in aseptic/sterile technique, and always do a 2-step alcohol iodine prep greatly reducing the amount of bacteria on the skin. Sterile gloves are even used for all fresh piercings.

We are a fully disposable studio, meaning we will never re-use tools on clients and after a tool is used it is either given to the client to bring home or thrown away. Most studios reprocess tools and package them to reuse again. If properly done it is safe, although if one mistake is made it can cause a client to get exposed to someone else’s blood and possibly result in contracting a bloodborne pathogen (like HIV or Hepatitis).

We completely eliminate that risk by being single-use only.

Meet Your Piercer

Emily Lake (owner/piercer)

Emily is the co-owner of Red Art in Mesa, Arizona. She began her piercing career in 2019 by doing a piercing apprenticeship. She is proud to offer clients the best experience; she enjoys expanding her knowledge by taking seminars through the Association of Professional Piercers and by reaching out to other experienced piercers to learn the art of piercing.

She excels at a clamp-free approach to piercing and mainly works with disposable instruments (so tools are not reprocessed and used on other clients). Emily is Blood-borne Pathogen certified, CPR and First Aid certified (in case of any emergencies) and is working towards becoming a member of the Association of Professional Piercers.

This association has strict standards in place to make sure piercers keep their clients health and safety as top priority, use the best metals and sterile practices, and have the most up-to-date information to offer their clients (regarding aftercare, jewelry, placement, etc.)

Emily loves decorating the human body with the best jewelry available & flowing with a client’s existing anatomy. When she is not piercing Emily is busy running the studio, spending quality time with family, and exploring her hobbies.

Maria Dirani (piercer)

Maria is a piercer at our studio. She began her piercing career three & a half years ago by doing a piercing apprenticeship elsewhere. Prior to that, she was getting pierced often and always loved self-expression through body jewelry. She loves being able to offer clients a safe space; doing something that has personally benefited her confidence and style. She is Blood-borne Pathogen certified.

Maria wants to become an APP member. This association has strict standards in place to make sure piercers keep their clients health and safety as top priority, use the best metals and sterile practices, and have the most up-to-date information to offer their clients (regarding aftercare, jewelry, placement, etc.)

She loves piercing nostrils, eyebrows, and lip piercings. Maria enjoys both minimal and maximal ear stylings with mixed metals & yellow gold. When she is not piercing she is busy reading thrillers, hanging with friends, and sketching fashion designs.
